The development of Plastic Surgery at McGill University has closely paralleled the rapid expansion of reconstructive surgery in Canada and worldwide. For the past three decades, McGill has led in new developments in Plastic Surgery teaching, basic laboratory research, care for children with congenital anomalies, hand surgery, treatment of facial and spinal injuries, burn care, and the exciting field of microsurgery.
