The Academic Affairs Office of the Faculty of Medicine is committed to supporting academic activities of faculty members including recruitment and academic appointments, immigration, licensing and hospital appointments, promotions and tenure, and honorary degrees. The office serves as the Faculty of Medicine liaison to the offices of the Provost, Academic Personnel and Secretariat.
The office also advises faculty members, department chairs and administrative offices on University policies and procedures related to recruitment and retention, academic salary policy and compensation, leaves and retirement.
Currently, the Faculty of Medicine employs 570 tenure stream and 3,276 non-tenure stream faculty.
