Withdrawal penalties

Application for residences are accepted and accommodation is assigned based on the understanding that students are making a commitment for the full academic year. Upon acceptance into residences, students are committing to a lease under Québec law. Students who withdraw from McGill University Residences for either academic or non-academic reasons will be held financially responsible. See Cancellation Policies.

Laird Hall: A co-ed residence that provides accomodation for undergraduate, graduate, and Farm Management Technology students.

EcoResidence: Each unit is a self-contained, fully furnished apartment with two or six single-bedrooms, and large, open common living areas.

Methods of Payment

Residence fees are payable monthly and will appear on your monthly tuition statement. They are payable through the following methods:

Canadian financial institutions: Payments can be made at all Canadian Financial Institutions, in person or at the automated teller machine (ATM). A remittance slip is required.

Telephone banking and internet banking: These methods are recommended. To use this service simply consult your bank and register McGill into your list of bill payments. Your McGill student I.D. number is the "account number" required by your bank.
