When to Apply
Applications open on July 1st for the upcoming academic year
- The earlier, the better! Get access to more job postings - submit your application in July to receive your decision by the beginning of the Fall term. Applications are accepted all year on a rolling basis.
- Reapply each academic year. You can only submit one application in Minerva per academic year (if your circumstances change, please work.study [at] mcgill.ca (email the Work Study team)).
How to Apply
- Check your eligibility.
- Apply in Minerva:
- Select the Financial Aid/Awards tab, then the Financial Aid Menu
- Select Apply for McGill Financial Aid, then Apply to Work Study
- Update your financial aid profile and click submit!
View Your Application Status/Decision
- Log in to Minerva.
- Select the Financial Aid/Awards tab and then the Financial Aid Menu.
- Under Apply for McGill Financial Aid, click on View status. If approved, you’ll see a Work Study confirmation letter which can be printed or saved as a pdf and provided to prospective employers. This letter is valid for 30 days and includes your approved work start and end dates. The letter can be reproduced as needed.
