Building Progress: A Closer Look at the New Vic Project
Following the success of our recent article on Procurement Services’ role in the New Vic Project, we’re excited to share a visual update from the construction site. These recently captured images highlight the incredible transformation underway and offer a glimpse into the scale and progress of this major initiative.
Demolition Phase
The demolition mandate for the New Vic Project includes the total or partial deconstruction of several buildings on the RVH site specifically, the rear of Pavilion A and the complete removal of Pavilions M, S, and T. It also encompasses the restoration and integration of heritage elements from Pavilions A, E, and L, alongside the construction of a new wing in place of the demolished pavilions. Additionally, new spaces will be created beneath the courtyard in front of the former hospital.
