My Healthy Workplace Working Group

About the Working Group

The My Healthy Workplace Working Group (MHWWG) is composed of a diverse cross-section of staff who are leading a university-wide continuous improvement initiative to becoming an even healthier workplace for all, in these times of rapid change.

The MHWWG is responsible for overseeing the healthy workplace activities at McGill, including enhanced programming and communications in an effort to encourage employee wellness, satisfaction and engagement, and support agility and effectiveness across McGill.

Members are asked to:

  • Contribute their knowledge, experience and networks to help drive substantive improvements, and remove roadblocks to McGill becoming a “Healthy Workplace” in accordance with Excellence Canada Healthy Workplace GOLD Standards.
  • Be an active member: share information and raise new questions and suggestions, help bridge gaps as identified in the 2021 Excellence Canada Assessment, through community consultations and in strategic plans related to MHW priorities.
  • Attend and participate in all related working group meetings
  • Participate in assessment activities that objectively measure progress and ensure transparency in the pursuit of MHW priorities
  • Serve as links to leadership, content experts and other key stakeholders.

As we enter Phase II of MHW, we are currently expanding our MHW Working Group Membership to reach a broader segment of our community. Here is a shoutout to the Phase I MHWWG. Heartfelt thanks to all those who helped us complete our initial 5-year MHW Plan and earn McGill its Excellence Canada Healthy Workplace Silver Certification. It has been an arduous, meaningful and impactful journey together.
