Published: 30 June 2022

The McGill International Institute of Education (MIIE) in cooperation with AFAQ for Leadership Development in the United Aram Emirates (UAE) completed a month-long course on “Course Design and Teaching Development” for 20 college level instructors. The program was offered in a blended learning format with regular virtual sessions between June 2nd and June 30th and intense face-to face instruction in Abu Dhabi, which included microteaching, from June 16th to June 20th.

The course provided a practical framework which participants can use to develop or redesign a course of their choice. The main instructor of the course was Dr. Dianne Bateman, Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology, McGill University. She was joined by Dr. Alenoush Saroyan, Emerita Professor, for the face-to-face sessions.

At the end of the program, all participants who met the course requirements received an attestation of participation by MIIE.
