Workshops & Events for Students

The Education Career Advisor conducts workshops in various Education courses, as well as outside of class time. Each semester, our office offers a variety of workshops targeted specifically to Education students. Some topics include but are not limited to:


  • CV and cover letter writing (en français!
  • Interviewing and networking
  • Education Career fair: strategies for success 
  • How to find a summer job
  • Teaching abroad opportunities
  • Alternative options in education

A wide range of professionals come to campus to participate in events, as well as hold information sessions. These events are an excellent resource for exploring your career options and networking with professionals in your field. Details and schedules are available on the ISA office site and will also be sent by email to students in the Faculty of Education.

International Teaching Fair

The International Teaching Job Fair is a wonderful professional development opportunity and all Education students are invited to attend as many countries will be represented! Our objective is to promote international opportunities to our students looking to launch their teaching career abroad.

Education Career Fair 

The McGill Education Career Fair is a yearly event organized by the Education Undergraduate Student Society, Education Career Services and the Career Planning Service (CaPS) of McGill University. Our objective is to provide a forum where both future teachers and employers can network and explore job opportunities in today’s education field. Each year, there are approximately 300 attendees; i.e. undergraduate and graduate education students as well as alumni.
