Intro to R (Part 1)

This 4-hour workshop is a beginner-level introduction to programming in R. This course is will start by covering the fundamentals behind the R programming language and its underlying data types and features. These principles will then be used to demonstrate the application of R to the analysis of tabular data from diverse datasets.
 
 
At the end of this workshop, participants will:
  • Grasp key concepts and advantages of the R programming language
  • Understand the key data types in R and their use cases
  • Know how to manipulate data types and to visualize results
  • Acquire good practices for reproducible research

 

**IMPORTANT NOTICE: Attendance for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows is subsidized by Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. All other attendees such as undergraduate students and interns are required to purchase a ticket to cover organizational and staffing costs.
