Diabetes Quebec Presents: What you Need to Know about Diabetes (Virtual)
Offered by the Health and Wellness Program in collaboration with Diabetes Quebec, as part of the 13th Annual Health and Wellness Fair for McGill Faculty & Staff
Are you aware that once you reach the age of 40, your risk of developing type 2 diabetes increases? Diabetes, often referred to as the 21st-century epidemic, not only raises the chances of experiencing strokes, heart attacks, kidney failure, and blindness but also affects a substantial number of individuals. In Quebec alone, a staggering 1.2 million people grapple with diabetes, with 620 new diagnoses emerging every day.
In this informative session, join Marilyne Richard, a registered Nurse from Diabetes Quebec, as she explains the impacts of developing diabetes and shares proactive measures you can incorporate into your life to mitigate the risk of developing this chronic illness.
