Whatever It Takes - Expanding Access to Health Care - March 18th, 2014 - McIntyre Medical Building

Published: 13 March 2014

It has been estimated that over 1 billion people worldwide live without access to health care. Organizations such as Partners In Health work relentlessly to improve access to primary and secondary health care to those who need it most. Despite modern medical advancements and the ability to treat people in remote parts of the world, millions of people are still left without hospitals, without doctors, and without treatment. Join the movement today to reverse these trends and enter the discussion by attending the conference Whatever It Takes.

Whatever It Takes - Expanding Access to Health Care, aims to highlight solutions whereby we can expand access to health care both locally and abroad. By introducing attendees to the current trends in ensuring access to care for all, we hope to build on a movement that insists on global health equity.

McGill University is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous Peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. McGill honours, recognizes, and respects these nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which peoples of the world now gather. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
