McGill Global Health Night 2014

The 2014 Global Health Night will be held at the McGill Faculty Club (3450 McTavish), on Monday, November 3rd, from 6:00 to 8:00pm. This annual event is held to highlight and foster the involvement of students and faculty at McGill in global health-related activities.

The evening will feature a guest lecture by Dr. Christy L Hanson and will also include the announcement of the Global Health Programs Photography Competition winner, the Faculty of Medicine’s Chan Prize winner and the Travel Awards Fall 2014 winners.

During the wine and cheese reception, guests will have the opportunity to browse student poster presentations and to vote for the best poster presentation of the night. Students and student groups from all backgrounds and disciplines may present a poster about their global health-related experiences, clinical rotations and projects!

McGill University is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous Peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. McGill honours, recognizes, and respects these nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which peoples of the world now gather. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
