Core Content Areas and Corresponding Courses

of the McGill Learning Sciences M.Ed., M.A. and Ph.D. Programs

The four core content areas are Learning, Cognition and Instruction; Socio-Cultural and Historical Foundations of Learning; Technology Rich Learning Environments; Self-Regulation, Motivation and Emotion

Through course work and research experiences, students are expected to develop expertise in at least two core areas.

Please note that some courses may be restricted to students registered in a specific program.
