The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has approved the appointment of Richard Morin (MBA’88) as chief executive officer of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
Morin is the co-founder of Montreal-based investment management firm Landry Morin Inc. He has also headed the Stock Exchange of Mauritius, and has served as vice president of National Bank Securities.

In his presentation to the MMF class, Mr. Abrams gave an overview of BDC and Venture Capital. He discussed the general rules for venture capital and the differences between Canadian and US markets.
His presentation also explored how his organization analyzes opportunities and their involvement with companies after they invest, giving several practical examples along the way.

Taiga Motors, founded by McGill graduates Gabriel Bernatchez (Beng'16), Sam Bruneau (Beng'15) and Paul Achard (Beng'14), have developed the world’s first electric snowmobile, eliciting interest and enthusiasm from local and international snowmobilers and investors alike.
On October 18, the McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship hosted its third workshop of the fall season, which focused on the technological innovations that are shaking up the business world.
The two invited guest speakers were Matthew Boerum from Audible Reality, winner of the 2017 McGill Dobson Cup, and Yves Guillaume A. Messy, founder of insurance startup QGS Technologies Ltd.
Both speakers led discussions on the opportunities enabled through technological advancement, such as artificial intelligence and blockchain.
