As the 50th anniversary of ALDO draws near, founder Aldo Bensadoun reflects on the twists and turns in his path to success in this special episode of Radio-Canada, hosted by Isabelle Racicot. Founded in 1972, ALDO has grown from a small startup into a prestigious fashion footwear and accessories brand with household name recognition. The value-centred company reflects Mr. Bensadoun’s ongoing commitment to advancing environmental and social justice and making a tangible difference in the lives of his customers.
In 2017, Mr. Bensadoun made a landmark $25M gift to establish McGill University’s Bensadoun School of Retail Management (BSRM). In funding the creation of the School, Mr. Bensadoun aims to raise up a new generation of industry leaders who are equipped to balance successful innovation with genuine care for their communities. This interview was partially conducted on the BSRM campus.
