Building a Data Science Ecosystem with the Data Sphere Lab
The Data Sphere Lab at McGill University's Bensadoun School of Retail Management (BSRM), in collaboration with the Master of Management in Analytics (MMA) at the McGill Desautels Faculty of Management, is a cross-faculty initiative that mobilizes academics, students, and industry leaders to build a platform for advancing analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions that organizations of all stripes can use to improve their revenue effectiveness and reduce time to insight.
For the inaugural launch, we will focus on the retail sector by leveraging funding from the Ministère de l’Économie, de l'Innovation et de l'Énergie (MEIE) to provide students, faculty, and Quebec retail SMEs with data management, anonymization, synthetization, and other data/analytics services and support. We will be open to all industries for the medium to longer term and ensure that outcomes are accessible to the greater community.
