As you may know, McGill Library has partnered with the Bureau de coopération interuniversitaire (BCI) and a coalition of 17 other Quebec universities to implement a unified catalogue that rolled out on July 8, 2020. Learn more here.
New! McLennan-Redpath Terrace Pick-Up Service
The Library is pleased to announce that McGill students, faculty and staff can now take advantage of a Terrace Pickup Service for print books not available electronically or through the HathiTrust Emergency Temporary Access Service (ETAS). The initial rollout of this service provides access to books housed in the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex and the Nahum Gelber Law Library only. Materials from other branches are not available during the first phase of this service.

Retrieving materials from BCI institutions not possible due to COVID-19 service disruptions
McGill Library is partnering with the Bureau de coopération interuniversitaire (BCI) and a coalition of 17 other Quebec universities to provide the Quebec scholarly community with access to three digital platforms.
Cancellation notice sent to users who placed holds
This week, McGill Library staff members will begin to check-in items that have been returned during the closure period. In order to begin this process, the McGill Library staff members will cancel all holds and requests placed on McGill items.
Users who have placed a hold on a returned item will get a notice indicating that their hold has been cancelled.
New in WorldCat Discovery: Refreshed My Account interface gives library users an enhanced experience
We hope you like the new My Account experience in WorldCat Discovery - it was developed with accessibility and responsive design in mind. The new interface complies with WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines.

June 15-19 Catalogue System Updates: Avoid using sign-in button or logging in to access “My Account” in WorldCat Discovery
McGill Library will be performing a system update in WorldCat Discovery from Monday, June 15 to Friday, June 19. All Library users are asked to avoid using the “Sign In” button or logging in to "My Account" from WorldCat Discovery during this period. Please note that this includes logins for the purpose of saving searches.
All checked out items due between March 1 - September 14 automatically renewed to mid-September
The Library has automatically renewed all checked-out items that were originally due between March 1, 2020 and September 14, 2020. The new due date for these materials will be September 15.
