Developers who are not part of the WSG but have been contracted by site owners to build additional features or applications for their site may either be:
- Internal
- Employees, Faculty or Staff of McGill University who already have a McGill account and password
- External
- Developers who are not part of McGill
- Must be provisioned with McGill resource accounts
Both internal and external developers have to be granted access before they can work on the WMS. The creation and assignment of a McGill account involves collaboration between the WSG and various departments within McGill IT Services:
- WSG Support
- WSG Administrators
- ICS Access Management
- Network and Communications Services
- Information Security
