The McGill Web Management System is built using the open-source Drupal content management system and is developed iteratively by the Web Services Group using an Agile software development methodology.
WSG developers work from a backlog list that contains issues and enhancement requests that have been brought forward by the McGill community which are prioritized according to business value using input from WMS stakeholders.
Every two to three weeks, the WMS web team begins a new iteration, pulling a set amount of work from the backlog list and endeavouring to complete it in the three weeks that follow.
