Vaccinations - Pre-Travel

Check your vaccines:

Consult destination-specific and up-to-date information and warnings on vaccinations on the Government of Canada, Travel Information site.

Please note that as of November 2024 the McGill  J.D MacLean Pre-Travel Clinic is no longer able to offer pre-travel vaccination assessments for people without complex medical conditions (i.e. pre-travel patients not requiring specialist physician evaluation). Patients without complex medical problems who require pre-travel advice should seek community-based pre-travel care providers.

The cost of the vaccine, if prescribed by a doctor, is covered by the McGill Supplemental Health Plan. The fee for the visit or administering the injection is not covered.

Expense Policy:

Cost of vaccinations and/or medication required when traveling on University business and not covered by the University’s supplementary health plan will be reimbursed.

The original paper receipt or printed electronic invoice receipt is required.

If claiming the difference between the cost and the amount reimbursed by the University’s supplementary health plan, include the claim statement.
