Meagan Buttle and Anne Heard, 2015 graduates of the M.Sc.A. program, received the Tavistock Trust for Aphasia University Student Prize.

Elisa Bucurel, Speech-Language Pathology student, is the recipient of the "William and Laura Victor Memorial Award" for the Best Winter 2013 Research Report with her report titled "Language Deficits in Children with Speech Sound Disorders and Children with SLI: A Step towards a Continuum of Speech and Language Developmental Disorders".

Kayle Towsley, Speech-Language Pathology student, is the recipient of the Israel and Ettie Bennett Award, 3rd place the Top Summer 2012 Research Report, at the Student Research Day.

Efrat Pauker, Doctoral student in Dr. Steinhauer's lab, received the McGill MedStar Award 2012 in recognition of her excellent research at McGill, including her article on "Effects of cooperating and conflicting prosody in spoken English garden path sentences: ERP evidence for the boundary deletion hypothesis.", published in the influential Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience.

Simon Rigoulot, Post Doctoral fellow in Dr. Pell's lab, received the McGill MedStar Award 2012 in recognition of his excellent research and publication entitled "Seeing Emotion with Your Ears: Emotional Prosody Implicitly Guides Visual Attention to Faces."

Kristina Kasparian, PhD student in Dr. Steinhauer's lab, received the prestigious "Richard H. Tomlinson PhD Fellowship" (2009-2012) as well as Canada’s most prestigious scholarship for doctoral students, the "Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship" award (2010-2013), for her work on "The neural basis of 'critical period' effects and of first language loss in minority-language speakers dominant in their second language".

Lory Harboyan was the recipient of the 2011 Montreal League for the Hard of Hearing Award.

Jessa Cottrill and Jessica Harrison both won the 2011 I.O.D.E. Sound to Silence Award.

Jesse Burns and Giulia Baer both won the SAC 2011, Elks and Royal Purple Fund for Children Scholarships.

Giulia Baer and Corinne Toupin both won the 2010 I.O.D.E. Silence to Sound Award.

Giulia Baer won the 2010 Montreal League of the Hard of Hearing Award.

Meghan Braun and Abby Brooks both won SAC 2010, Elks and Royal Purple Fund for Children Scholarships and the 2009 I.O.D.E. "Silence to Sound Award".

Stephanie Keith won the 2009 Montreal League of the Hard of Hearing Award.
