Classroom Facilities

How to Find Your Classroom

To locate the building your classroom is located in, you can use this interactive map of the campus.

Room Layout and Equipment

Log in to the Classroom A/V website with your McGill username and password and select a building/room to view a layout of Audio-Visual (AV) equipment, a list of each piece of equipment present, operating instructions, and images of the room (when available).

Need adapters, cables, or other equipment? Same-day and long-term loans are available.

Computer Laboratories

You can request the use of an SCS Computer Lab by emailing your requirements to instructors.conted [at] mcgill.ca. Instructor Services will do its best to accommodate your needs based on availability.

Classroom Change Requests

The Class Scheduling Office (CSO) is responsible for booking rooms for the whole university for both credit and non-credit courses. Instructor Services acts as SCS’s liaison with CSO.

Room changes will only be considered if the allocated room does not meet pedagogical needs (e.g., issues with capacity, technology, or accessibility). A preference will not be accepted as a valid reason for a room change.

If the allocated room does not meet your pedagogical needs, please email your domain’s Academic Program Coordinator (APC) with a detailed explanation. If the APC approves the request, they will reach out to Instructor Services to proceed with the search for another room. Please note that finding a different teaching room at the last minute during the fall and winter terms can be challenging and may take time.
