Canada Graduate Scholarships - Master’s (CGS M)
- Information from McGill GPS Funding (sent via email on October 31st)
- Anticipated Value: $27,000 (up from $17,500) for 12 months, non-renewable
- Deadline to apply: December 2nd before 8:00 pm (ET) using the Research Portal (via the CGS M program)
- In order to be considered for this award by the Pathology program, all applicants must have submitted their applications to the program through the McGill application portal by January 16th, 2026
Canada Graduate Scholarships - Doctoral (CGS D)
Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)
- Information from McGill GPS Funding
- Read the application instructions and procedures carefully on the CGS webpage
- Eligibility: Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada or Protected Persons
- Value: $40,000 per year for 3 years
- Deadline to apply: October 1st, 2024 by 8PM on ResearchNET. Results announced in April 2025.
Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQNT/FRQSC/FRQS)
- Information from McGill GPS Funding
- All students admitted for Fall 2024 are eligible to apply, regardless of citizenship
- Fellowship amounts are $20,000 for Master’s and $25,000 for Doctoral
- An Abstract translation service (English to French) is provided by GPS.
- Deadline to apply: October 3rd, 2024 by 4PM. Results announced in April 2025.
FMHS Internal Studentships
- Value: $10,000 for MSc students and $12,000 or $20,000 for PhD students.
- MSc2 students who are not fast-tracking to a doctoral program and students who are PhD5 and more are not eligible to apply.

PBEEE/Quebec Merit Scholarship for Foreign Postdocs

- McGill's competition has eight (8) categories of eligibility
- Applications must first be sent to the department for pre-screening and nomination (July 4, 2024)
