Bravo aux gagnants du Prix Nappert 2014

La professeure Andrea Bjorklund, titulaire de la Chaire L. Yves Fortier Chair en arbitrage international et droit du commerce international, a été ravie de recevoir plus de 80 textes de chercheurs et de jeunes praticiens affiliés à plus de 50 institutions pour le concours de rédaction Nappert en arbitrage international. Les textes ont afflué du monde entier, avec tous les continents – sauf l'Antarctique – représentés.

Après un examen attentif, le jury a sélectionné les premiers lauréats de ce nouveau prix:

• Premier prix (4 000 $) : Ridhi Kabra (étudiant au LLM, Cambridge), “Has Abaclat v. Argentina left the ICSID with a ‘Mass’ive Problem?”
• Deuxième prix (2 000 $) : Mitchell Moranis (étudiant au JD, Harvard), “Between Power and Procedure:  The Changing Balance of Investment Treaty Protections”
• Troisième Prix (ex aequo; 1 000 $ chacun) : Antoine Champagne (étudiant au BCL/LLB, McGill), “Moral Damages Left in Limbo” et Robert Kovacs (Sociétaire, Linklaters, Doctorant, Université de Genève), “International Arbitration and Insolvency: A Question of Applicable Law”.

Les gagnants seront également invités à venir présenter leur travail lors d'un colloque qui sera organisé à l'Université McGill en octobre 2014.
