I am a first year PhD student co-supervised by Dr. Debra Titone and Dr. Gillian O'Driscoll. My general interest is in psycholinguistic research, sparked by my undergraduate research experience in Carleton University's Language and Social Cognition Lab, supervised by Dr. Olessia Jouravlev. I joined the McGill Language and Multilingualism lab in 2021 after receiving my Bachelor's of Cognitive Science from Carleton. My research interests include the intersection of bilingualism and schizophrenia, the effects of sociolinguistic factors on language evolution, and equity within psycholinguistics. Though these topics may seem disparate, my goal is to combine knowledge from these varied perspectives to form a more holistic, nuanced, and equitable understanding of human language. I am interested in using a multidisciplinary approach to do so, with methods such as eye-tracking, iterated learning, and computational linguistics.
