The Integrated Program in Neuoroscience administers recruitment awards, on a one-tie basis, to the top subset of Master's and Doctoral IPN applicants demonstrating high academic standing and strong research potential in the field of neuroscience.
Recruitment awards are above and beyond the annual stipends that the students' thesis supervisors will pay them.
There is no explicit application process for the IPN Recruitment Awards. In fact, IPN applicants are automatically considered for a Recruitment Award once they've completed and submitted their online application form and supporting documents. Applicants who have been selected for a recruitment award will be contacted.
Nevertheless, since the value and the number of awards issued per annum are dependent on IPN's availability of allocated funds, you are encouraged to apply to IPN as early as possible. It is at the discretion of IPN to terminate recruitment once all available funding has been disbursed.
Therefore, in brief, candidates for IPN Recruitment Awards are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.
