Do you want to help spread the holiday cheer and get creative while giving back to the community? Come volunteer at CHSLD Vigi Reine-Elizabeth and spend some time with the long-term care patients! This volunteering placement consists of putting up holiday decorations in the center and communicating with the residents. Residential and long-term care centers, better known as CHSLDs, are accommodations intended for seniors experiencing a significant loss of autonomy. Their mission is to provide their clients with a safe and hospitable environment while ensuring they receive the care and services that they need.
Wearing a mask is extremely encouraged.
You will receive an email with additional information following your registration. Registration closes on December 15th. You will be required to complete and submit a background check form by December 22nd.
When a minimum of 4 hours of volunteering for CHSLD has been completed, you can request a copy of your Co-Curricular Record (CCR), an official document recognizing your involvement in and out of classroom learning experiences.
