Indigenous Partners

This image is from the 2018 Kativik Ilisarniliriniq Teacher Training on Ice. Six teachers from Nunavik participated as staff on the expedition, while also gaining credits towards their teacher certification with the Office of First Nation and Inuit Education (OFNIE) as part of McGill Faculty of Education. Watch the video, here.

This picture comes from a partnership between Karonhianonhnha Tsi Elementary school, an elementary-level Kanien’kéha (Mohawk language) immersion school, and McGill's Branches Program, which falls under Enrolment Services. The Branches program runs an after-school mentoring program here and in other elementary and secondary schools, called Homework Zone
