The Rathlyn Disability Initiative Student Colloquium 2026
The Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism invites submissions for the Rathlyn Disability Initiative Student Colloquium, to be held on February 16, 2026, from 1:00-2:30 PM in New Chancellor Day Hall Room 312.
We warmly welcome contributions that engage with disability rights from a legal, interdisciplinary, or experiential perspective. In addition to traditional research papers, we strongly encourage submissions from students with disabilities who wish to share their lived experiences, advocacy work, or community-based perspectives in dialogue with law and policy. We value critical, reflective, and innovative approaches.
During the February 16 Colloquium, selected students will have the opportunity to present their work. Remote/online participation will be possible. A light lunch will be served.
Abstracts should be between 250 and 300 words. Submissions in French and English are welcome.
Participation is open to all McGill law students, including graduate students. Papers written for a class within the last 24 months are eligible. Please submit by January 31, 2026, by email to chrlp.law [at] mcgill.ca, with "Rathlyn Disability" in the subject line.
Please also contact chrlp.law [at] mcgill.ca to request the event link. If you require accessibility accommodations, please also inform us at that address.
