Students enrolled in the B.Sc. Kinesiology program may opt to take a Minor in Entrepreneurship to diversify their studies and open up possibilities in different career sectors in administration or management in sports organizations, sporting equipment corporations, and other relevant fields. Students will pursue six courses (or 18 credits) within the Desautels Faculty of Management, covering management and entrepreneurship fundamentals. The Minor in Entrepreneurship requires an application and is restricted to students who have completed one year of university studies (24 credits) in the B.Sc. Kinesiology program, having earned a minimum CGPA of 3.0.

Eligibility
  • Applicants must have a minimum of 24 graded credits completed at McGill before applying.
  • Applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3.00 (this does not guarantee acceptance). 
  • Completing management courses prior to admission will not have any influence on your application. Any management courses completed prior to being admitted may count towards the minor.
  • May not be pursuing or have completed a Minor in Entrepreneurship, Finance, Management, Marketing or Operations Management (for Non-Management students).
  • Students entering U3 or their final year: the minor is meant to be completed in 4 terms due to prerequisite courses. Priority will be given to U1 and U2 students. You will be asked to provide a study plan.

Course Registration
  • Returning Minor students should always register for their Minor courses as soon as registration opens as many course sections fill up quickly.
  • When registering, students should check the 'NOTES' section in Minerva to ensure that they are selecting course sections reserved for Minors, where applicable.
