Professor Shaheen Shariff, James McGill Professor and Director of iMPACTS, was featured in the January 2024 edition of Open Access Government

Open Access Government is a digital publication that provides an in-depth perspective on key public policy areas worldwide. Each quarterly edition features a wide range of prestigious contributors, including government ministers, European commissioners, members of the European Parliament, industry associations and charities.

In this publication, Professor Shariff explained that iMPACTS is the first of its kind to address, dismantle, and prevent sexual violence by means of a systemic partnered solution in the fields of education, law, policy, arts, popular culture, news, and social media. Professor Shariff brought our international partners together to address an issue that remains a priority for public policy, namely, sexual violence in universities. This publication also provides recommendations and highlights resources to address sexual violence.
