Kids Help Phone Now Provides Crisis Support via Facebook Messenger

Published: 28 October 2020

Facebook, a partner on iMPACTS, recently announced that Kids Help Phone will now provide mental health and well-being support through Crisis Support over Messenger. Both young people and adults can reach out for 24/7 support using Facebook Messenger by visiting Crisis Text Line powered by Kids Help Phone. This collaboration also aims to bridge the gap in mental health support for Indigenous communities in under-connected areas.

In addition to offering support through Messenger, Facebook worked with Kids Help Phone to launch an Instagram Guide to provide young people with advice on how to cope when struggling with mental health and well-being.

You can read more about the collaboration between Facebook and Kids Help Phone on Mobile Syrup and Le Journal de Montreal. More information is also available on the Kids Help Phone website.
