From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Tara Black

Tara BlackI became a member of the Centre for Research on Children and Families when I was a doctoral student at the University of Toronto. I have had the privilege of working with Professor Barbara Fallon and being involved in many of her projects including the 2008 Canadian Incidence Study of Reported Abuse and Neglect (CIS-2008). I have worked for fifteen years in various child welfare capacities including a youth treatment centre, group home, and as a front-line child protection worker (i.e., supervised access, family services and children's services). I am currently the manager of the Ontario Child Abuse and Neglect Data System (OCANDS), and am an Assistant Professor (CLTA) at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. My research focuses on child welfare.
