If you ever wanted to keep track of your changes in your coding of R and Python, a csv table or any other plain text documents, Git and GitHub are your friends. Join in on this version control workshop that allows you to get more control over the reproducibility of your work.

At the end of this workshop, you will be able to

  • understand how to set up a Git account
  • create repositories and track changes
  • know how to use GitHub and collaborate
  • have an introductory understanding of conflict resolution

This workshop is offered for free by the Faculty of Science to the McGill community. Due to the limited amount of spots available, if you sign up for a workshop and don't show up, you will not be allowed to register for another workshop this semester.
