First Career Steps Club is a 4-week cohort experience designed for students who want to better understand themselves before exploring career options. Through reflection, discussion, interactive exercises, and real-world exploration, you'll develop the self-awareness needed to make career decisions with greater clarity and confidence.

Eligibility
To participate in First Career Steps Club, you must be:
- An active McGill student
- Able to attend all 4 sessions
No experience required. Just curiosity, openness, and a willingness to learn more about yourself.
Info Session
We recommend that you attend an info session to learn more about what to expect in the program before it begins.

Outcomes: What You'll Gain
By the end of the program, you will:
- Understand the role of self-knowledge in career decision-making.
- Identify patterns in your interests, strengths, values, personality traits, and work preferences.
- Discover your professional personality and what environments may suit you best.
- Learn how to evaluate career options based on who you are, not just job titles.
- Build confidence navigating career uncertainty.
- Leave with a personal framework for exploring future opportunities.
Each session includes interactive activities, assigned reflection exercises and weekly homework.
