MMA students support Montreal Children’s Hospital during pandemic

Students from the McGill Master of Management in Analytics (MMA) program recently teamed up with the Montreal Children’s Hospital to analyze telehealth services and plan personal protective equipment (PPE) supplies. As part of the program’s MMA Gives initiative, Omar Chehab, Katia Sory, Victoria McKeown and Kyle Gomes (MMA’20) gained meaningful experience helping the hospital plan and adapt to their new reality brought on by COVID-19.

Desautels alumni appointed CFO of Patriot One Technologies

Alumna Karen Hersh (BCom’88) has been appointed as CFO of Patriot One Technologies. Hersh brings to the role more than 20 years’ experience in finance including several senior leadership roles, most recently serving as CFO for a global private equity company focused on cybersecurity technologies.

Desautels alumna honoured by the Association des femmes en finance du Québec

Desautels alumna and vice president of RBC RH&N Kathy Fazel (BCom’91) has received the Inspiration-Andrée-Corriveau Award from the Association des femmes en finance du Québec.

Fazel, whose finance career spans 25 years, credits her early career mentors with ensuring she never felt disadvantaged as a woman in a field still dominated by men. She is now inspired to give back through causes close to her heart.
