Support for students

McGill Engineering Competition

How can we help you?

  • The McGill Engineering Student Centre (MESC) offers many services to undergraduate students, integrating the Student Affairs Office, academic advising,  peer tutoring and the Engineering Career Centre.
  • The Student Affairs Office is an engineering student's one-stop-shop for advising, peer tutoring, scholarships and awards, exchange and study abroad programs, counselling, orientation, administrative questions and many other student services.
  • The Engineering Peer Tutoring Service is a free, drop-in peer tutoring service that offers one-on-one and group tutoring, as well as mid-term and final review sessions, for select departmental classes and general math and physics classes.
  • The Engineering Career Centre helps engineering students to transition to the workforce after graduation by developing and offering activities that prepare engineering students for internships and post-graduation employment, as well as providing tools to identify available positions and opportunities to network with industry.
  • The Faculty of Engineering’s Equity and Diversity Committee oversees the coordination of and support for Diversity and Inclusivity initiatives, programs, projects and discussions in the Faculty, particularly issues involving indigenous populations and matters related to equity in gender, sexual orientation, race, culture and ability, etc. For select initiatives, the Faculty works in close collaboration with the Engineering Undergraduate Society’s Equity Committee (EUS-Equity) and the university’s Social Equity and Diversity Education (SEDE) office.
  • Additional university-wide student services are available to all McGill students.
