Make sure you're eligible
Admission requirements are determined by your educational background and the program(s) you are applying to. Select your educational background to:- Verify deadline dates
- Check your admission requirements
- Learn how your academic record is reviewed
- See the prerequisites for your program
- View the grades that gained entrance to your program in previous years

Submit your application
As of October 1, you can apply online.

Application fee: $136.08 CAD (non-refundable).
Interested in applying to more than one program or faculty/school?
Once you have submitted your first application and paid the application fee, you can submit a second application at no extra cost. Both applications must be for the same term and level of study (undergraduate). Thereafter, each additional application submitted will incur a fee of $133.41 CAD. All applications must be submitted before the application deadline. -
Apply for an entrance scholarship
Look into entrance scholarships early! The deadline is usually a week after your application deadline. This Scholarships and Student Aid website provides information about entrance scholarships, bursaries, and other funding opportunities.

Submit documents and keep in touch
Once you've submitted your application, and paid the application fee, you will be able to verify your application checklist, upload any required documents, and check the status of your application in your McGill Applicant Portal.- To learn how to prepare your documents for upload, visit 'Uploading your documents' (coming soon)
- Learn about self-reporting your grades for high schools in Canada (outside Ontario and Quebec)

- Learn about self-reporting your grades for high schools in the U.S.A.
- Verify if you are required to provide proof of English proficiency
- Certain programs will require additional supporting documents. These could be proof of French proficiency, CASPer test results, recommendation letters, personal statement, or other documents; the requirements will be different depending on the program you are applying to. If your program choice is listed below, please carefully verify the additional requirement(s):
- You have applied to Dietetics, Education, Global Engineering, Music, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Religious Studies, and/or Social Work
- You have applied for a Major Entrance Scholarship and/or Financial Aid
- You selected ‘Extenuating Circumstances’ on the application for admission
