European Baccalaureate (from Schola Europaea)

On this page: European Bacc transfer credit | Number of credits granted | McGill exemptions

Credit for the European Baccalaureate from Schola Europaea

Up to 30 transfer credits (equivalent to one year of study) may be granted for the European Baccalaureate obtained with passing grades (from the Schola Europaea member schools). Note that students in Management may be required to complete additional mathematics coursework.

Students entering a science-based degree program are now also eligible for transfer credit and exemption from some of McGill’s ‘freshman’ math and science courses. Information regarding specific exemptions can be found below.

If you believe that you have mastered the material taught in the freshman math and science courses for which an exemption is NOT awarded on the table below, you may eligible to write an admission placement exam. For information, see www.mcgill.ca/exams/dates/science .

McGill may modify transfer credit recognition without prior notice.
