Stephanie Law -Member

Stephanie Law, Ph.D., is a mixed-methods researcher who examines the sociocultural aspects of tuberculosis care, with a particular focus on the role of trust. Her research projects, spanning different topics in tuberculosis treatment and care, include collaborations with Partners In Health, MSF, IRD and the WHO. Dr. Law received her MSc and Ph.D. degrees in epidemiology from McGill University, as well as her Master of Journalism degree from the University of British Columbia.

 

Current research projects:

Her current major projects include: 1) large-scale validation of a tool to measure provider trust towards people affected by TB; 2) development and validation of a tool to measure acceptability of TPT; 3) qualitative examination of acceptability of short TPT regimens (nested within SSTARLET, a CIHR-funded adaptive phase 2 clinical trial); and 4) community-based study to identify and address drivers of antimicrobial resistance among people affected by TB and common respiratory diseases in Pakistan's private healthcare sector.
