Credit for a European Bologna-compliant high school diploma

Students with a Bologna-compliant high school diploma, entering a degree program in the Faculties of Arts (B.A.), Education (B.Ed.) or Management (B.Com.) may be granted up to 30 transfer credits (equivalent to one year of study(see chart), thereby reducing the length of the degree program
Note that students in Management will be required to complete additional mathematics coursework.

Students with a Bologna-compliant high school diploma entering a science-based degree program (Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Architecture, B.A.& Sc., Dietetics, Engineering, Kinesiology, Nursing, and Science), are not eligible for transfer credit and will be required to complete McGill’s specific first year (U0), including the ‘freshman’ math and science courses.

If you believe that you have mastered the material taught in the freshman math and science courses, you may qualify for exemption by passing an admission placement exam taking place in August. For more information, see www.mcgill.ca/students/exams/dates/science.

McGill may modify transfer credit recognition without prior notice.
