Facilities

  • There is a total of 179 students in single rooms.

  • Dormitory-style with shared washroom facilities centrally located on each floor. Shared kitchenettes throughout the building. Common rooms include 2 TV rooms, games room, aerobics room, study room and a large lounge.

  • Rooms are furnished with a twin size bed and mattress, desk, chair, dresser, bookshelf, lamp, drapery, wastepaper basket and a small fridge.

  • 24-hour front desk security.

  •  On-site laundry facilities included in the rent. The use of washers and dryers in the residence buildings are available 24/7 at no additional charge.

  • Maintenance staff for common areas. Available storage, ironing boards and irons available on loan.


Mandatory Meal Plan

  • 63 one bedroom or studio apartments.
  • Houses both upper year undergraduate and graduate students.

Lease is for a period of 10 months from September to June. Possibility to renew the lease and to return to the same apartment each year. Only applicable to full time registered McGill students.

  • Locked entrance with card reader access to the building.

Laird hall at Mac Campus

Laird Hall is a co-ed residence for primarily undergraduate students. Residents enjoy comfortable rooms, modern kitchens and cozy common rooms on each floor. Each residence room in Laird Hall is equipped with a mini-fridge. 


Rent

Lease is for a period of 8.67 months from August 15, 2025 - May 4, 2026.

Fees include electricity, hot water, heating and Internet.


Facilities

  • There are a total of 251 students in single and double bedrooms.
  • Dormitory style housing with common shared washrooms, kitchens and common rooms. Certain floors have separate sections for men and women while the others are co-ed. All the common areas are co-ed.
  • Furnished bedrooms (bedding and bathroom accessories not included) with a bed, a desk, a dresser and a closet. Bedrooms include mini fridges.
  • The communal kitchen on each floor is equipped with toasters, microwaves, fridges and freezers, kitchen table and chairs.
  • Amenities in the building include a games room and a movie room to wind off from school stresses.
  • There is no Mandatory meal plan for students residing on Macdonald Campus. Students can use their oneCards to make purchases at Café T.W.I.G.S on campus. Students may access and eat at the Ceilidh Restaurant on campus.
  • 24hr Macdonald Campus Security Office located inside Laird Hall. Locked main entrance (controlled by card access).
  • On-site laundry facilities payable with oneCard. Parking available. Extra fees apply.
  • Bicycle storage available.

EcoResidence at Mac Campus

EcoResidence is a shared housing facility attract students who wish to live independently and ecologically with on site recycling and composting facilities. EcoResidence provides accommodation to primarily upper year undergraduate students and graduate students.  


Rent

Lease varies from 10.5 months from August 15, 2025 - June 30, 2026 or 12 months.

Fees include electricity, hot water, heating and Internet.


Facilities

  • Self-contained units with fully furnished apartment of either two or six private single bedrooms.
  • 20 two-bedroom duplex units with bathroom. 10 six-bedroom sixplex units with 4 bathrooms. Duplexes can have an 8 or 12 month lease. Sixplexes have only 8 month leases.
  • Fully furnished bedrooms with a desk, dresser and closet space. Kitchen equipped with stove, refrigerator and microwaves. Communal living areas equipped with a coffee table and couches. Communal dining area equipped with dining table and chairs.
  • The 24 hour on-campus security office is within a short walking distance. Key access to front entrance and individual rooms.
  • There is no Mandatory meal plan for students residing on Macdonald Campus. Students can use their oneCards to make purchases at Café T.W.I.G.S on campus. Students may access and eat at the Ceilidh Restaurant on campus.
  • On-site laundry facilities payable with oneCard. Parking available. Extra fees apply.
