Global Health Rehabilitation Initiative (GHRI)
The School of Physical and Occupational Therapy (SPOT) is actively engaged in capacity building initiatives at the intersection of global health, rehabilitation and disability. Members of SPOT take part in knowledge sharing and train-the trainer initiatives and many SPOT students in the professional programs also conduct fieldwork placements in low- or middle-income countries or with new immigrants and undeserved communities across Canada.
Global Health and Rehabilitation Resource Guide
Learn more about global health, rehabilitation and all things connected through our Global Health and Rehabilitation Resource Guide. This is a document created by students in conjunction with the community to help you explore rehabilitation in Global Health starting from a local framework and expanding provincially, nationally, and internationally. You will notice that this guide is split up between several different topics all related to rehabilitation and Global Health. Student-specific resources include information about global health placements, travel awards and different courses/programs while wider community resources range from articles to blogs, NGOs, associations and more!
