In 2008, the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders established a program of Distinguished Alumni Awards; the objective of this program is to honour meritorious graduates of our MSc. (Applied) and PhD programs who have distinguished themselves in the professional or research communities.
These awards are given every five years and are presented at a special reception. Award recipients receive a plaque and monetary prize of $250, and their name is engraved on a plaque in the School for public display.
Distinguished Alumni Award for Professional Leadership
This award gives special recognition to a graduate of our M.Sc. (A) program who has distinguished him or herself in the professional community by providing outstanding leadership in service delivery, clinical supervision, and/or made other significant innovative contributions to the field of Communication Sciences & Disorders.
Distinguished Alumni Award for Research Leadership
This award gives special recognition to a graduate of our Ph.D. program who has distinguished him or herself in the academic community by providing outstanding leadership in research and research training in the field of Communication Sciences & Disorders. The awardee will be invited to present a public talk, followed by a reception.
