Eligible students can apply to be registered for the Industrial Practicum (one semester/minimum of 12 weeks) or the Internship Year in Science (8/12/16 months - offered exclusively to BSc students).
For an internship to be eligible to our program, it must meet be:
- In the industry, not in a university lab nor with a professor doing research

- Full-time for a minimum of 12 weeks for the Industrial Practicum (IP), or a minimum of 8 months for the Internship Year in Science (IYS) Program

As part of the internship registration process, you will need to complete and sign the Science Internship Contract, which the student will provide to you at the time of their registration. As such, when you first receive the contract, the FSIO will not yet have reviewed the student's eligibility, meaning that the contract is not valid until we have confirmed the student is eligible and have signed our section of the contract.
We cannot sign any documents for students who have not officially registered their internship with our office.
Program Requirements
For students to successfully complete the Science Internship Program, the employer must complete the Employer Evaluation Form by the deadline indicated on the FSIO website.
