To comply with CCAC guidelines, animals must be acquired through centralized systems.

McGill University recognizes the importance of having centralized animal ordering for protocol compliance. As such, each Facility Animal Care Committee is required to have a procedure to ensure that CCAC guidelines for animal purchasing are followed. For more information, call 514-398-2837.

for research, testing and teaching programs involving the use of animals. For animal acquisitions, McGill University follows the CCAC guidelines on: procurement of animals used in science.
