Dr. Joshua Vorstenbosh is a board-certified plastic surgeon and surgeon-scientist specializing in breast reconstruction, microsurgery, lymphedema surgery and complex oncologic reconstruction.
Valedictorian of his McGill medical school class with a PhD in Experimental Surgery (fibrosis and wound healing), he completed residency at the University of Manitoba and a microsurgery oncologic reconstruction fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
He joined the Division of Plastic Surgery in 2020 and after serving as Residency Program Director from 2023-2025; he was selected as Division Director. As faculty, he founded the Surgical Lymphedema Program and leased an NSERC funded independent research lab studying the tissue responses at the host-implant interface in addition to numerous clinical studies.
