Staff Surgeon – Lachine Hospital Team
Dr. Carolyne Tawilé is a board-certified plastic surgeon recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery. She provides clinical care at Lachine Hospital and the Lakeshore General Hospital. Dr. Tawilé completed her medical degree at Laval University, followed by a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Université de Montréal. She then pursued advanced training in hand and microsurgery at Washington University in St. Louis and completed a facial surgery fellowship at McGill University.
Her broad-based practice includes expertise in skin and soft tissue pathology, hand and peripheral nerve surgery, breast surgery, and body contouring, with a strong focus on community-based management of nonmelanoma skin cancers. An active educator, she contributes extensively to surgical training and curriculum development. Dr. Tawilé also serves as Chair of the CME Committee for ASCPEQ and is a member of several national and provincial professional societies.
