Immune responses are initiated, function and are maintained in diverse tissue sites. In this seminar, I will discuss how human immune responses are localized in tissue sites, with a focus on the lung, and how this localization impacts how immune responses change over age, and in response to respiratory pathogens. Results on longitudinal sampling of paired airway and blood samples from COVID-19 and how they reveal immune mechanisms of disease pathogenesis will also be presented.
This seminar will be given online via Zoom. Details in attached poster.
