The Mentorship Program-Spanning 20 departments, this initiative aims to create a sense of community and belonging by providing students with female role models and network opportunities. It starts with Recruitment, followed by group formation, event launch, group meetings 3 time per year, and end-of-year event and finally a feedback.

The Win4Science Mentoring Program aims to connect trainees with role models from Biological and Biomedical departments across McGill University and beyond.

Mentoring groups consist of one mentor (professors, professionals working outside academia, etc.) and 2-4 mentees (graduate students, postdocs, etc.). Groups are usually composed of members from different departments and at different study/career stages to drive rich learning and professional development. The composition of mentoring groups changes annually at the beginning of the Fall semester so that members can connect with many mentors and mentees over the years in the program.

We have over 70 registrants every year coming from over 20 different departments.

We also have professionals working outside academia that have agreed to take part in the mentoring program as mentors.
